Next Generation
Just thought I would do a quick catchup on whats been happening around the Black Spade. It has been pretty quiet since pruning finished. Holiday time for those in the wine industry. Time to relax and regroup before the next onslaught of vintage.
The final racking of the 06 Shiraz and Cabernet and the 07 Sangiovese and Grenache / Mataro has been done so bottling is only just around the corner. The Snagiovese and the Grenache / Mataro blend will be released mid - late November and the 06 Shiraz and Cabernet will be released March - April next year. All lots are looking fantastic in the barrel, I cant wait to show off the new varieties to you all and show you how dynamic the Barossa Valley really can be.
There is still have few bottles of our 05 Shiraz and Cabernet remaing but they are running out quick. The Cabernet is drinking extremely well right now, I have been getting some great feedback from people about this wine, so grab it while you can! Keep an eye out for the next newsletter and order form mid next month and get ready for the next generation!
